CHARISTIMATIC LEADERS MEET IN GHANA

The Pan African Catholic Charismatic Renewal Leaders Meeting is currently under way in Kumasi, Ghana. The meeting has brought together leaders of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal(CCR) from 26 African Countries. 

The Most Rev. Justice Gabriel Yaw Anokye, the Archbishop of Kumasi, presided over the opening Mass. The main theme of the gathering is: “May they all be one”. 

According to Gerald Yambani, Zambia National Charistimatic leader, the purpose of  the meeting is to “promote unity in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in Africa and embrace the new vision of Pope Francis for the Renewal Movement”. 

The Holy Father, Pope Francis recognises that the Catholic Charismatic Renewal is  ” a current of grace for the whole church ” and he emphasizes on communion.

Attending this all important meeting is Mr. Jean Luc Moen, a Belgian national, Moderator of CHARIS the Rome based single service to the CCR.

The Zambian delegation of four, is led by Gerald Yambani, CCR National Coordinator.The meeting runs from 30th January to 2nd February 2020.
