Bishop transfers the Clergy

The Rt. Rev. Valentine Kalumba, OMI, Bishop of Livingstone, has today Tuesday 8th December 2020, on the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, made the following pastoral appointments, occasioned by the appointment of Fr. Ramsden Tembo as a member of staff at St. Augustine’s Major Seminary in Kabwe.

  1. Fr. Imasiku Ngalama, Parish Priest of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, Musokotwane, has been appointed the Parish Priest of St. Peter’s Parish, Airport – Livingstone.
  2. Fr. Kebby Luwaya, the Assistant Parish Priest of St. Joseph’s Parish, Mukuni, has been appointed Parish Priest of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, Musokotwane.
  3. Fr. Felix Francis Siwvimi, the Assistant Parish Priest of St. Fidelis’ Parish, Sichili, has been appointed Assistant Parish Priest of St. Joseph’s Parish, Mukuni.
  4. Deacon Oswald Pumulo Lifunga, currently at St. Anthony’s Parish, Sioma, moves to St. Fidelis’ Parish, Sichili.
  5. Fr. John Damascene Rurangwa, the Assistant Parish Priest at Christ the King Parish, Libuyu, Livingstone, has been appointed Assistant Parish Priest of St. Peter’s Parish, Airport – Livingstone.
  6. Fr. Bruno Hamukali, the Diocesan Youth Chaplain, has been appointed the Diocesan Vocation’s Director.
  7. Fr. Joseph Kalaluka Mufuzi, the Assistant Cathedral Administrator, has been appointed the Diocesan Holy Childhood Coordinator.

Unless where explicitly stated, those appointed, shall not relinquish their current diocesan pastoral responsibilities, namely chaplaincy of lay groups or institutions.

All appointments take effect from Friday 1st January 2021.

The Bishop requests the faithful in Livingstone to place the Clergy: Deacon and Priests, into the Maternal care of the Virgin Mary, the Mother of Priests.
