SEEK JESUS, SHARE HIM WITH OTHERS – PASTORAL COORDINATOR

Fr. John Damascene Rurangwa, Livingstone Diocese Pastoral Coordinator has challenged the people of Livingstone Diocese to seek Jesus Christ in their lives. “Once you have lost Jesus in your life, seek him in Prayer and in Faith Formation. When you find Him, share him with others, with your neighbors”, stated Fr. Rurangwa, the Bishop’s delegate, during his homily delivered in the occasion of the Diocesan Feast.

Moreover, Fr. Rurangwa encouraged the parishioners, who filled St. Theresa’s Cathedral in Livingstone, to put on the heart of love and mercy, after the Immaculate Heart of Mary. He called on all those present at Mass, to shade off those elements that might prevent progress in their spiritual lives. “Don’t’ have hearts that are full hatred, envy, anger, resentment and timidity”, continued the Cleric.

In another development, Fr. Clifford Mulasikwanda, the Cathedral Administrator and the Bishop’s Secretary implored the Church in Livingstone to work in unity following the example of the Early Church, in order to realise the vision and prayer of the Bishop of Livingstone: “That they may be one”. Furthermore, Fr. Mulasikwanda called on mutual respect in the Parishes. He stated that, in the Parish, there shouldn’t be many commanders. “In the Parish set up, there is only one giving out direction – the Parish Priest; the Parishioners are expected to show respect to their clergy”. The Church that lacks discipline, drags behind in development, stated Fr. Mulasikwanda.

The Diocese is consecrated to the Immaculate Sacred Heart of Mary. Today 9th June 2018, the Church celebrated the Diocesan Feast with Holy Mass led by Fr. John Damascene Rurangwa, Livingstone Diocese Pastoral Coordinator, who stood in for the Rt. Rev. Valentine Kalumba, OMI.
